About First Ministry

Ministry is sacred work. It is also demanding work, often carrying weight that few people fully understand. First Ministry: A Marriage Renewal Experience is a carefully designed weekend created specifically for pastors and church leaders who desire to protect, restore, and strengthen the marriage at the center of their calling.

This experience offers focused teaching, meaningful conversation, and guided moments of reflection to help couples reconnect, regroup, and realign around what matters most, their covenant with one another.

Sean and Lanette Reed served 17 years as lead pastors and 4 years as marriage and family pastors. They know firsthand how ministry can quietly overtake time, emotional energy, and family rhythms if leaders are not intentional about care and restoration.

This experience exists to create margin, space to tend to your marriage with honesty and hope. Whether you’re strengthening a healthy foundation or addressing areas that have been strained, this weekend is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and be reminded that marriage is not secondary to ministry, it is the first ministry.

What to Expect

    No explaining the pressure. No performing. Just being fully present with people who understand the weight of ministry life.

    Because strong leadership flows from a healthy covenant—not the other way around.

  • Small, intimate setting—not a crowded conference
    Limited couples, focused teaching, and meaningful connection create room for real renewal.

  • Guidance from leaders who’ve lived it
    Hosted by Sean & Lanette Reed, who spent decades in pastoral leadership and understand the unseen costs of ministry on marriage and family.

  • Space to restore, not just learn
    This experience blends reflection, conversation, and teaching—helping couples reconnect, realign, and breathe again.

When and Where

- Dates: May 22–24, 2026

- Location:
Northlake, Texas
(The exact location will be provided upon registration.)

Schedule:

- Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Dinner provided)

- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Investment:

- Between $800 - $1500 per couple

- Saturday Lunch and Dinner are on your own.
